OpenAI ChatGPT o1

OpenAI announced the availability of the full o1 model under ChatGPT. o1 shows significant improvements across benchmarks related to math, code, and science. o1 is claimed to be 50% faster in generating thinking steps than o1-preview. It’s better at reasoning and produces more comprehensive and reliable responses. OpenAI research commented that o1 can deal better with ambiguities and has strong image reasoning capabilities. o1 will soon support web search and will soon be introduced to the OpenAI APIs with support for structured outputs, function calling, and image understanding. The team is also working on more developer features to support building complex agentic workflows.

OpenAI also announced the introduction of ChatGPT Pro, a $200 monthly subscription plan that provides unlimited access to their most advanced AI models including o1, o1-mini, GPT-4o, and Advanced Voice. The plan features o1 pro mode, which uses additional computing power to deliver enhanced performance on complex problems.
